Photography + Cookies
Katya’s family has a New Year tradition. Every year, on the day before New Year’s Eve, Katya, her husband, and their three kids gather to bake cookies, spend time together — and take pictures.
The photos are for the grandparents — and for looking back later, seeing how fast kids grow and change. (Spoiler: very fast.)
And the cookies?
They bring everyone into a shared moment — something warm, fun, cozy. A little family teamwork. A chance to learn from each other. And finally… munching on fresh cookies together.
Cookies
…that also taste amazing!
Because one day, when you look back at these photos, you’ll remember what was really happening — not how hard you tried to make the “perfect” family portraits.
Sometimes the most precious memories are not the posed ones —
but kids who got bored of the camera and went off to play chess.
Last year, I had the joy of being the person Katya’s family trusted with capturing these moments.
Thank you!
